SIZE(S):

One size. Finished, blocked scarf measures approx 10” (25.4 cm) in width and 72” (182.9 cm) in length. Scarf length may be adjusted by working more/fewer pattern repeats.

CHARTED/WRITTEN:

The pattern is fully charted, but also includes complete written directions so the ability to read a chart is not necessary to work this pattern.

GAUGE:

32 sts/29 rows to 4” x 4” (10 cm x 10 cm) in cable pattern stitch (measured over a medallion), blocked.

The scarf is cast on and worked flat.

To work this pattern, you will need to know:

  • Chinese Waitress cast-on and matching Chinese Waitress bind-off
  • Knit and purl stitches
  • Cable stitches – 2/1LPC, 2/2LC, 2/2LPC, 2/1RPC, 2/2RC, 2/2RPC

YARN:

Allow approx 760 – 800 yards (695 – 732 m) worsted weight yarn.

US 5 (3.75 mm) double-pointed, circular or single-pointed needles
US 6 (4 mm) double-pointed, circular or single-pointed needles
