Samples were modelled using Mattel’s 12” (30.5 cm) Divergent Four doll and Integrity Toy’s 12.5” (31.75 cm) Mystery Date “The Stud”.
Flat lay measurements:
Midsection: 3.25” (8.25 cm) wide
Shoulder to waist (excluding collar): 3.88” (9.84 cm)
Underarm to end of sleeve Mattel: 3” (7.62 cm)
Underarm to end of sleeve Integrity: 3.38” (8.57 cm)

The pattern includes complete written directions and is fully charted.
GAUGE:
8.5 sts/11 rnds to 1” x 1” (2.5 cm x 2.5 cm) in stockinette stitch, unblocked.
Both the henley pullover and the cardigan sweater are knit from the top down. Piece is worked flat until underarms, where stitches are then reserved for the sleeves on scrap yarn. Pullover body is then worked in the round whereas the cardigan variation is worked flat below the underarms. Both pullover and cardigan sleeves are worked in the round after picking up the reserved sts from the scrap yarn.
To work this pattern, you will need to know:
- Knit stitches and purl stitches
- Increase and decrease stitches – M1L, M1R, K2TOG, SSK
- Slipped stitches
- Twisted stitches – KTBL, PTBL
YARN:
Both the henley and the cardigan use approx the same amount of yarn. The difference in yardage between the sizes is from the differing sleeve lengths.
12”(30.5 cm) Doll – Allow approx 46 yds (42 m) fingering weight yarn. Sample knit using one skein of Dream In Color Everlasting 8 ply sock yarn (100% superwash Australian Merino wool) in the 713-Tidal colorway.
12.5”(31.75 cm) Doll – Allow approx 61 yds (56 m) fingering weight yarn. Sample Knit using one .71 oz (20g) skein of Hedgehog Fibres Sock Minis (90% Merino wool/10% Nylon) in the Stone colorway.
If using a different yarn, your gauge will likely be significantly different and will affect the finished size.
